My Journey

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!  I woke up to both of my kids smiling in my face and we watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade together then went to my sister's house to make dinner: Cornish hens Dressing Green beans w/ smoked turkey Whole kernel corn Fruit salad Rolls Cranberry sauce Roasted carrots and potatoes  Mozzarella and cranberry bites Turkey Gravy ( store bought) Patty's sweet potato pie Sitting here watching movies from our childhood like "Babe" and "Jumanji", Drinking sparkling cider, it really makes me feel grateful for family. I hope everyone has a great holiday.

Is it just me or do my kids sleep like otters pups. 

I have started a 5-year transformative journey to better myself, my body, my mental health and financial standing.  I started school again back at SMC to finish getting my Business degree because I want to transfer to CSULA and then to UCLA. I also have dreams of starting multiple businesses including a beauty business, a spa, an egg business with "Whitehead Family Farms" and a kawaii store.  I also want to continue to lose weight. I am back at a size 10 ( considering that at my largest I was a 14) after giving birth to both of my kids. I want to be able to create a great life for myself since I am a single mother.  I know it's going to be a hard journey and I am accepting whatever positive change comes my way. Whatever helps me become the best woman and mom I can be. Continue to find out who I am as a person. I want to be able to joke around again and become the human I am meant to become. 

I've lost so many family members over the past 15 years it is crazy. It seems like right after high-school everyone started to get sick and pass away. All of my grandparents,  my great aunts and uncles, some cousins, my father, and some friends. It's only right that I make an ofrenda to honor them. Will light the candles tonight and I might turn on the movie CoCo. 

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!  This year I let Leuch choose our costume theme this year and she chose The Mandalorian. Leuch was the Mandalorian,  BinMin was grogu and I chose to be Grogu's bassinet because someone had to hold the baby and I was not about to mess up the theme. I think we pulled it off. 

Today I decided to hop on the train and treat myself to a museum IMAX movie entitled "Blue Whales Return Of The Giants" 3D. My deep love and respect for the ocean knows no bounds. I've been craving to be near the ocean lately because being around large bodies of water soothes my spirits and calms my very being, but with school and taking care of the kids I haven't been able to go to the beach or get on a boat in long Beach or the marina so I figured an IMAX movie about huge whales in the ocean is just what I needed.  The one thing I didn't count on today was #1 running for the expo line train, and #2 going to the IMAX on a day when schools were there on a field trip. Starting with #1, I ran like hell and managed to catch my train because I think the bus driver took pity on me watching my ass run in flip flops with a lunch bag in tow (cuz yall know theater popcorn is too damn high). For #2 at least the kids sthu when the lights went low and were silent ...

My 2nd and last baby turned 1 and is now officially a wee toddler. I cannot even deal. All I did for the occasion is have a little gathering at my sisters house. We had good picnic foods, pizza and cupcakes.  We watched movies and played video games and I dressed the kid up in "The Hungry Little Caterpillar" dresses.  I'm just really blessed to have my children. Her birthday was just perfect. Now all I have to do is prepare for Christmas
